I recommend the "mixed tape" approach to any one show.
During my courting days with the woman who would become my wife I realized she liked jazz so made up a tape that included the Branford "Eyes" from W/Out a Net....mixed in some acoustic gems (Deep Elem, Cassidy, Dire Wolf from "Reckoning"), pulled some good classic rockers (US Blues, Promised, Bertha from Skull & Roses), and included a not-scary Dark Star from Farewell to Winterland.
Worked very well, altho' these days she's lost all tolerance for my "deep" show indulgences ;-)
